THE BRISTOL SCOUT
Documenting A Historic Event With Olympus Greece
I was leading a team of 10 Photographers covering the Kavala Air Sea Show 2016 when I learned of David Bremmer's arrival at Thassos. He was going to try at the time to make the historic flight from the exact same airport his Granddad took off 100 years ago. Since I am an Olympus user I contacted Olympus Greece to let them know that I decided to go to Thassos with my own expenses and cover the story. So I asked if they could provide me with a 40-150 ( 80-300 in 35mm ) and an extender in order to be able to shoot this adventure and also the rest of the Airshow back at Kavala.
Mr Ageridis, the Business Development Director of Olympus Greece was super positive and provided me with not only the lens but also an Olympus OM-D EM-1. A killer combo for such a task. So after the Equipment arrived I hopped on a ferry to Thassos and for 3 days I documented the adventure of David at Thassos Island. For the next days I am going to be publishing selected shots from the day of flight. I hope you enjoy this project as much as I did!
