Lee Park Church Choir during worship!
Shot at 1/100sec f4 ISO6400 @200mm
Using Canon 6D and 70-200mm f2.8L IS II lens.
My first time shooting in really low light conditions like this. Was a challenge for sure, way out of my comfort level. But I really enjoyed it. Because it was something out of the usual for me, I found myself going back to the basics, (the exposure triangle) and really thinking each shot through. Although things were happening really fast, taking it to the basics made it possible to get the shots I was after.
The other thing in shooting in low light like this, you can't be afraid to push the ISO. To keep your shutter speed at a high enough level to continue to handhold, and still freeze the action, you need the higher ISO. Don't be scared of the grain that might show in the image. Your main focus is get the shot.
Big thing learned here for me was to not to be afraid to try something new and out of the box. So much can be learned from it, making the rewards well worth it. .
